LFC – Players Who played for us
In due time, I’d get back to this series. With weather being so nice in Western New York, time away from the computer is needed. While that’s not an excuse for anything, there’s just somethings that need to be done in life. Plus in a way, sometime my Mom would want me to get back to writing. While it’s still been very hard for me to write without her alive, I’m getting there. Sometime in the future, my writing will get back to the days of 900 word missives about the sport, and there will be more Cosmos stuff.
This is a blog this time about a guy who played for the club during the time between, and during the Wars. In 309 games he scored 110 goals. That’s not at Ian Rush’s level, but still that’s more than 90% of the players at the club have scored. I’m not knocking what the players have done at the club, there’s been some very bad players, just like there have been that at other clubs. Also he did this in November 1946; he scored three consecutive hat tricks in league play. Portsmouth, Derby and Arsenal
