Creative Title not Needed – Union Win!

Well, when I do my match recaps, as you all know, I like to come up with a creative title for my reports. But when the club plays half way decent and a player I have taken a liking too scores, and the manager gets thrown off at the end, the title isn’t needed. That’s a good thing. Spicing up a column over a match isn’t fun

While the Union could have, and should have going up by more. But a 1-0 win, with Adu getting the goal is good. I’d just hope that these commentators would stop talking about the u-23 stuff and him. It’s over, find some new topics. I’m waiting for them to talk about him leaving Colorado almost ten years ago. Yes Adu is a polarizing figure but at least, he’s playing for the Union, and not some lesser club. While, that is all being well and good, I just want the team to punch on. I bet they seriously don’t care what the commentators or the bloggers think at the end as long as they still win. Oh and selling off the old guy in goal, seems to have worked. Zach MacMath seems to have turned into a very good goalie. Now he’s not at the Bill Hamid level or that Real Salt Lake dude yet, but he’s very young.

And two red cards at the end? I mean come on folks, I know the sport is rough but stop fighting each other. As they said on the telecast last night, the MLS  hands down rather harsh penalties. Keep the spirits high folks, and don’t let other players get to you.  This could spell trouble for the Union for the next three games with two players off and Novak too. Not good folks, but hey it came out of a win.

From the Union website after the match:

“It’s a tribute to our boys,” Union manager Peter Nowak said. “Even with two red cards, we didn’t give up much. We deserved to win.”
