My quick take on this morning’s Bombsell
When I woke I saw that Damien Comolli had been sacked, after a well, horrible run of games. This led me to worry that the next ax falling is Kenny. And that would just be awful not only for the growth of the club, but for the fans. I had a scary feeling that FSG was going to run Kenny, and that they didn’t know history since they’ve not had to deal with a legend managing in Boston. Needless to say the bus ride into work wasn’t fun. (Still not at work, at a coffee shop).
Then it dawned on me. Kenny came back to right the ship. Ok so it’s not complete. What if he came back to get the club cups again? Well he’s got one, and in the semi’s for another. What if this was his plan before kicking himself upstairs? Let me complete this thought. He probably thought ok two years, get the club back to normal, and go away again. As much as each player and manager likes to think and say that they are going for the league and cups every year, in their heart of hearts, that’s not always true.
Now that there’s one cup here, and the chance of a second, maybe he takes the DOF, and Rafa comes back, or does Steve Clarke take it?
And no, I won’t say John Barnes.
